Evaluation of New & Early Career Educators

Course Description: How well do you understand how you’re evaluated? This session introduces Pennsylvania’s Educator Effectiveness System, focusing on the evaluation of non-tenured certificated educators, including both classroom teachers and non-teaching professionals. The presentation covers the process of formal observations and the calculation of performance ratings. Additionally, the presenter will provide tips for making the most of pre- and post-conference meetings and offering evidence during observations. Resources will also be shared to help early career educators find answers to common questions and access more detailed information on these topics.

Learning Hours: Members who complete this course receive 1 HOUR of Act 48 and/or a certificate that may apply for Chapter 14 hours. Your employer has sole discretion to determine if this course qualifies for Chapter 14 hours.
