Course Description: Artificial Intelligence is actively reshaping teaching and learning, leaving educators to balance personal productivity with responsible student engagement. This practical session, drawing on the work of the PSEA AI Task Force and led by PSEA Task Force Staff Consultant Dr. Christopher Clayton, cuts through the hype to address two critical questions: How can AI streamline my workload, and how do I safely guide my students to start to learn how to more effectively use it? This interactive session provides actionable strategies for: (a) Teacher-facing productivity: Streamlining lesson planning, differentiating resources, and reducing administrative tasks. (b) Student-facing integration: Designing assignments that use AI as a learning tool while fostering critical thinking. (c) Academic integrity and literacy: Establishing clear classroom norms and teaching students to navigate AI ethically. Whether you want to reclaim hours in your work week or prepare students for the future, this session delivers the concrete tools and pedagogical strategies needed to navigate AI with expanded skill and confidence.
