Course Information
Course Description: In this session, "The Ultimate AI Learning Toolbox," AI in Education
Strategist, Holly Clark, guides educators through the world of
generative AI and its practical applications in the classroom. The
session explores a range of AI tools, both student-facing and
teacher-facing, emphasizing how to use these technologies to create
meaningful and personalized learning experiences for students.
Participants will learn how to choose the right AI tool for different
purposes and will gain insights into how AI is changing the definition
of plagiarism. The session also introduces a framework called TAPE
(Transparent, Accurate, Purposeful, Ethical) for responsible AI use,
while encouraging teachers to develop their own AI literacy beyond the
"training wheels" of teacher-facing tools by using programs like Gemini
and ChatGTP. Educators can expect to leave this session with a better
understanding of how to thoughtfully integrate AI into their pedagogy,
as well as how to teach students to be critical and ethical users of AI.
