Ornitherapy and the Wellness Benefits of Nature

  • 1.5 Hours

Course Description:
This professional development session provides an introduction to the concept of ornitherapy, which emphasizes the therapeutic benefits of connecting with birds and nature for improved well-being. Research shows that deepening our connections with birds and nature actively reduces stress, depression, and anxiety while helping build a stronger heart and immune system. This session will help the attendee understand how exposure to, and observation of wild birds and nature can support overall wellbeing and healing; explain how the impact of experiences “in nature’ impact biochemistry in relationship to well-being and offer strategies to implement “nature-based wellness interventions” into educational settings.
