About this session: 7-8:00 p.m.
Grade-level and subject-area acceleration are options to support the academic needs of high-achieving students. This presentation will define acceleration, describe several examples of its implementation, and share research findings supporting its effectiveness through resources provided by the Belin-Blank Center at the University of Iowa. Additionally, we will discuss the factors that should be considered by families and educators when deciding if acceleration is the best course of action.
