Effective Communication with Families

About this session: 7-8:30 p.m.
Building relationships with families is one of the most effective ways to support your classroom and school community, raise student achievement, and increase positive student behaviors. This session reviews the research behind effective communication with families and discusses strategies for improving those interactions. Participants will engage in sample scenarios they may encounter, practice techniques for a successful meeting, and set goals for creating a welcoming environment for family engagement.
