It’s time to get ready for the new Science, Technology & Engineering, Environmental Literacy, and Sustainability (STEELS) academic standards that will be implemented starting in the 2025-26 school year! Join Dr. Gina Gullo for a walk through the policy and process that led to the STEELS standards and what the policy means for you. Then, take a closer look at the three-dimensional learning framework that supports each standard through practices, crosscutting concepts, and disciplinary core ideas. Finally, take a tour of the wealth of resources from the PA Department of Education on the STEELS Hub designed to provide the support and implementation resources you need for a positive and successful experience. This session is designed for elementary teachers, middle and high school science teachers, paraprofessionals, instructional coaches, library and technology specialists, and educators involved in curriculum planning.

Hours: 1.5 hrs
Completers will receive the designated amount of Act 48 hours or a certificate to submit to their administrator for possible Chapter 14 hours. Chapter 14 eligibility is determined by the school administrator.
